Legislative Assistant
Stephanie is a seasoned government affairs and legislative professional with experience navigating the California State Legislature and advising senior elected officials. She brings procedural knowledge, strong policy analysis skills, and a proven ability to build effective coalitions among lawmakers, agency staff, lobbyists, and community stakeholders.
Prior to joining the firm, Stephanie served in several roles in the California Assembly, including Legislative Director for Assemblywoman Shirley Horton and Assemblyman Mark Wyland. In these roles, she successfully developed and advanced legislative priorities across a wide range of policy areas, including public safety, education, insurance, and energy.
In addition to her public service, she also served as State Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs for the Western Insurance Agents Association, where she led lobbying efforts. Her background also includes freelance writing for The European Courier, where she produced content for international audiences.
Known as a hardworking coalition builder and versatile analyst, Stephanie is recognized for her polished interpersonal skills, collaborative approach, and ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
Stephanie received her BA in Political Science from the University of California, Davis. She lives in the Sacramento area with her husband, Mike, and their two children.
